New strap for my Czech Longines

Post by River Rat » Fri May 17, 2019 1:15 pm

Well I wanted a more authentic era strap for my vintage Czech issued Longines. So I ordered one from David Boettcher.

I have bought a few straps from him he is well known for trench watch collectors for his straps and info he knows about them. The two others were for trench watches from WW1. So I figured I would try one of his WW2 era ones made for wire lugs. That use wire clips to secure the strap. I had the bolt type type on it and they were not right for the era these watches were made.

He did a great job. I had him tapered it being 24mm lugs and the buckle also looks period correct.
