Must be summertime in FL :)

I love them as well. I don't understand the too thick/long argument. For what they are meant to be, they're perfect.

So for someone who's never owned one, why do these garner so much love?

They simply are the best. Some may come close but they stand alone at the top IMO.

The price sucks but they are the standard.

I've gone through a love-hate cycle with them. I currently love them.

All of the above. Also, it's always summertime in Florida.

I can get away with leather or canvas from November through most of May. Isofrane is perfect the rest of the year. Bracelets aren't great because my wrist size changes a lot throughout the day due to the heat and humidity.

Omega adjustable clasp will make the PO perfect. We have the same problem.

I need to get another. I still don't have one for the MM300.

As a daily wear I prefer the Hirsch Pure. As a dive strap I like the Isofrane but the new Seiko Prospex rubber strap is better IMO. And cheaper.

For me it all depends on the watch.
I find them kinda thick so they only work on certain watches for me.
I find them perfect on the 015 Tuna.

The best rubber strap I've worn is the vintage isofrane in 20mm. It's super thin and feels great. I wish they would reproduce them. It is nearly perfect on every hug from a thick and heavy Tag super pro to a light weight titanium EZM1.

They look good on the right watch. I have tried wearing them and don't like the feel.
cheers,

This is true about every strap, though. People try to put Isofranes on small watches and then blame the strap.

Yeah, personally I don't think they work on Omegas other than the Ploprof; I've tried them on my SMPc and SMPC chrono, and they don't look right 'cause of the case gap (although the chrono isn't as bad as I thought it'd be). I find them perfect for the Seawolf, though.

No case gap on the PO.

I think it's partly because of being used to seeing curved-end straps on POs and SPMs that I notice a gap, and that the pin-bar holes are near the end of the lug. On the Seawolf, the holes are closer to the case.
