Just Arrived, 3 From Kobold
Straps, not watches.

I think I dealt with several different "CS Teams" when I called every few months.
First combo...

I really like the straps. So what size wrist does it fit? And did you really wait 16 months to get those Matt?

Re: Just Arrived, 3 From Kobold
These are kind of odd as far as sizing. Both keepers are sewn in, which is a terrible design. On my roughly 7.25" wrist, the tip of the strap just barely reaches inside the second keeper. Any larger than that and it won't reach. At 7.25", I an on the 3rd shortest hole (maybe 4th, I forget) so people with really small wrists won't be able to wear them at all. Making new holes would be difficult because the straps are made of cotton.toxicavenger wrote:I really like the straps. So what size wrist does it fit?

Chris's explanation above is good.toxicavenger wrote:I really like the straps. So what size wrist does it fit? And did you really wait 16 months to get those Matt?
My wrist is a bit over 7 1/2"; I can get to the 2nd hole.
The strap tip barely passes through the first keeper.
For the moment, I do not plan to cut off the 2nd keeper; not sure how the strap would look with the keeper cut off since it is sewn in.
I got my wife to sit for a test fit with the strap on the last hole. It fit well - her wrist is a bit over 6".
Yes, it took that long.
I contacted Kobold to place the strap order in September, 2015.
At that time the straps were not in stock and the rep suggested I try the two piece straps instead.
I gave them a go, but they were a big disappointment.
I immediately returned the straps and began the wait for the one piece straps to arrive; a much longer wait than anticipated.

Cool design. Terry should improve the fit and sell it himself.
Re: Just Arrived, 3 From Kobold
Like the straps Matt- why would you sew both keepers in?
I can't believe it took that long..

Re: Just Arrived, 3 From Kobold
I want to point out a few positive aspects of this transaction.
As I recall, the original purchase was for 2 straps, not 3 as I received the other day.
I have the receipt somewhere and will try to find it to confirm this.
The CS rep I spoke with last time seemed very competent, sent a shipping confirmation with tracking shortly following our phone conversation;
and the straps arrived two days after we spoke.
And I appreciate the key ring included with the replacement straps.
Maybe they have turned a corner in improving the level of CS.

Each hole in that leather key ring was punched by the hands of a single Sherpa.mattcantwin wrote:I want to point out a few positive aspects of this transaction.

Not trying to turn this into another Kobold bashing thread but......I can't understand why anyone would do business with a company like that.mattcantwin wrote:I liked the strap when I tried on your Soarway diver.CGSshorty wrote:Nice. I have all three of those colors.

The funny thing - they're approximately 300% faster than MKII.cdnwatchguy wrote:Not trying to turn this into another Kobold bashing thread but......I can't understand why anyone would do business with a company like that.mattcantwin wrote:I liked the strap when I tried on your Soarway diver.CGSshorty wrote:Nice.
