Like I said that hole and seal machine is expensive and need to be used on that type of webbing. Not sure if Gecko uses it but BP/Omega does
Right, Art and I in the back ground having talking about this version of straps for a long time. There are just way to many issues with the buckle hole finishes on this type of webbing for me to carry, because I would be doing warranties all the time. I just can't stand behind that product knowing that it is most likely going to fray within the first week of wearing it. Unless someone comes up with a better process, I am sure that will cost an arm and a leg to do though.
They do look great though.

Yay, Ed has something new to complain about.

I ordered a variety after seeing this thread. The anticipation is killing me. Will I hate them, will I like them, will it be a HUUUUGE MEH!
Oh boy I can't wait.
I
Can't
wait.
on a serious note, buying straps seems to be more fun than buying watches.
Was that wrong? Should I not have done that?

Mine came in yesterday, missed them somehow
Obviously can't comment on the nato configuration since it's inherently awkward and unnecessarily over the top, but in RAF one piece mode Seatbelt one is great, just great. Bond is nice too, just needed to move the second ring closer to the first (take the threads out of that stitching - 10 seconds) but the grey stripe one is way way too thin and is doesn't support a watch on the wrist.
Overall nothing special for Terry to start carrying on top of his current straps.

^ "great" was my initial impression too. After two straps getting deformed holes in the space of less than 24 hours, I'm not as convinced.

Yeah I can't speak for longevity, had it on my wrist for an hour only. For long term you can't beat a waffle weave Zulu type webbing.
Perhaps that is why Blancpain chose to do a leather strip over the holes on their seatbelt type strap?

When you said "leather strip over the holes" I immediately thought of this.

I have recently looked into this also. That make work long term. The Asian vendors call it the Daniel Wellington design.
