Kobold Canvas Strap Lug to Lug Size

Post by Fitz » Wed Jun 08, 2016 6:36 pm

I was wondering if anyone knows the lug to lug size of the Kobold Canvas Straps? This strap has flaps sewn into the strap where the spring bars go through and then attaches the watch to the strap. Unfortunately, they do not list the lug to lug measurements of the strap. I even checked the specs for the watches that were pictured on these straps and they also don't have any lug to lug measurements either. Curious if anyone here knows? Thanks!

Which size? I have some 22s I can measure. What are you going to mount it on?

Thanks Chris.

I was thinking of getting both a 20mm and a 22mm. I like the look of them, but they would be going on all different watches, likely my SD and Marathon Navigator.

The only thing they wouldn't go on is a Kobold since I don't have one.

I would imagine the size would be the same on both the 20 and 22 for ease of manufacturing, unless they correspond to certain watches. If thats the case, I'm screwed.

I've worn my 22s on watches from 49-52mm. There is some wiggle room due to the design. I'll go dig one out.

It looks like it will take something as small as 46mm and I have used it on the Kobold and Alpina which are both at least 51mm.

Was the strap you measured the Flat Dark Earth? On the website the FDE looks almost gray, while the Sand is normal.

The first photo is Sand. The one on the ruler in the second photo is FDE.

I like the sand to start, but there are some definite brown tones in the FDE, more than the website lets on.

I have become a sucker for sand and khaki color straps lately. I love the look of them on black dial divers.

Thanks again for all the help, it saved a lot of time and possible headaches. [CLINKING BEER MUGS]

My pleasure. The FDE will look better long term. They are cotton canvas, not nylon, so they get dirty. The sand can get very dingy looking if you wear it a lot.

You should have these made with a few improvements.
