Why? My canvas straps are super comfy, don't need any padding.

Sure why not, just need to find something to pad it with that can withstand water and dry quickly.
I personally don't like padded straps but we can try. I like that all-canvas straps dry quickly, if you put a traditional padding foam inside it will not dry as fast and will probably develop some sort of mildew or something. Do you want it padded squishy or just build up thick at the lugs?
You're on my list, we can try one padded :)

My other concern is that it's going to start looking factory made like those cordura/nylon straps, similar to the one that came on Alpina. Gonna lose that "custom made" look to 'em

Like this one, they have these on ebay, padded and all for 20-30 bucks, made in china with a sewing machine. I can't compete with that, lol

Padded straps suck. Just say no.

Padded canvas straps - possible?

Post by Danny_T » Mon Apr 25, 2016 3:56 pm

Hey I'm bored lol. Had surgery this am to repair an umbilical hernia. So I'm in bed bored. LoL. Will be for the next few weeks at home recovering :P

Didn't think about the mildew issue with padding. Good call Art.

I'll stick to the badass ones you make and the order request I sent you.

Building up at the lugs may work but the H20 watches won't allow it due the very tight lug end gap on the watch case.

Chris, give Danny a "few weeks" ban to stop his "great ideas".
