I ordered several from the guy in Australia. I'll do a comparison when they arrive.

I did send a pic. Beside the other 20mm and 22mm straps I ordered and it was clear as day.

Whatever. I'm not pursuing it and will just move on. Won't be recommending timefactors in any way shape or form to others.

The hardware looks the same, but I don't know if it is the same. The TF stuff is really good.

Eddie is a douchebag. I think the straps are nice but I refuse to send him one dime.

It's a shame you had a bad experience, I guess I got lucky with 10-12 straps I've ordered.
Did he offer to send you a new one at his expense once you return the 20mm?

I would only assume that would be the case. If I had to pay shipping back to me for the correct strap I'd be double pissed.

And I would also bet that he wouldn't ship it back registered but rather the $3.50 non insured non registered method.

That sucks Danny. You even paid for the expensive shipping :(
I usually pay the minimum he has for like £3 for straps only or something. Hopefully Chris's straps are the same hardware

Eddie won't offer shit, because he's a douche. If he wasn't, he'd offer to send the replacement immediately at no charge. Sending the wrong size one back would cost more than it's worth. Poor business practice.

honestly, it fits every story i've ever heard about eddie's "customer service." pretty much a "fuck you, deal with it" guy.

Agreed.
One time Panatime sent me a wrong Zulu. So they promptly sent me the correct one and included a prepaid envelope to return the wrong strap. I think that was good business

for comparison, i bought a leather strap from jason at halios when he first offered them. didn't get a shipping notice for a week, so i emailed jason. he was apologetic and sent it expedited shipping and included a second $55 strap because he felt bad about it.

What an azz. I really like these but the potential aggravation isn't worth it.

Last time I ordered a NATO was from Natostrapco a couple months ago. They sent the wrong strap. Emailed them and about 10 mins later, I thibk it was Steve who responded and said, "Sorry about the mix up. We'll send you the proper one and you keep the other one as an early Xmas gift from us. That's what Platts should've done.

Amazing he runs his business like that. I mean if you spend $50 bucks with him on straps and he treats you like that, imagine how screwed you'll be if you spend $500+ or more on one of his watches if something goes wrong.

NO THANKS

I've had similar issues with Eddie on strap purchases, but luckily he has been okay to deal with when there was an issue with a watch purchase.

Bottom line.. look after your customer, whatever the cost. To me it's a matter of pride, and customer satisfaction.

Nice straps, shitty business owner. I won't be ordering jack shit from that asshole, not after reading his response on an order he screwed up.

Jason is awesome!!

Has this "experience" been made public, outside of this forum?
