Bracelets - Blancpain and Glashutte = interchangeable?

Post by CoachH » Thu Sep 17, 2015 12:40 pm

After noticing forum member Denizen's WURW post of his Glashutte Original Sports Evolution's bracelet, I wonder if this bracelet is the same as a Blancpain's x-71? I am providing a couple of photos from the internet to show the similarities. Surely someone has experience with both. I ask because, if they are interchangeable, I would be very much interested in the GO's ratcheting clasp over the butterfly clasp on my Blancpain.

Even if they're identical, that doesn't mean the end links are.

I would keep the existing Blancpain bracelet except for the clasp and replace with the GO clasp.

which BP do you have?

the GO and the BP bracelets aren't that similar actually.

i have 2 BPs on bracelet - an Aqua Lung and a Fifty Fathoms (before the sapphire bezel model) and even if the GO's lug width was the same as your BP, the endlinks on the GO are way taller (and thicker) and the clasp itself attaches the the rest of the bracelet differently between the two brands.

i wish i could tell you otherwise, but ...

I've had both, though I've never compared them, and the bracelets are very different in person. I would be very surprised if they were interchangeable in any way.

No, vastly different bracelets in construction and finish.

Thanks, without ever holding a GO, they looked similar.
