Anyone have a Heroic18 canvas?
Anyone have a Heroic18 canvas?
This looks great. On top of that its a 22mm that tapers to 20mm and the hole design is right to use the Hamilton buckle I have. Just curious if anyone had any thoughts on their straps.

Old photos and don't have the strap anymore. (no idea), but was a damn nice canvas and well made.
Re: Anyone have a Heroic18 canvas?
Their leather straps are well made, so I can only guess the canvas straps areas well.

That's a good looking canvas strap. I've never had a leather backed one, not sure how I'd like it (mine are all from Drew).

That's a big negative. I like my canvas straps to be all canvas, especially in Summer. The leather backing wouldn't be an issue in cool weather, though.jeckyll wrote:That's a good looking canvas strap. I've never had a leather backed one, not sure how I'd like it (mine are all from Drew).

Makes sense. I think that was one of the original reasons for Drew making his own, wasn't it?CGSshorty wrote:That's a big negative. I like my canvas straps to be all canvas, especially in Summer. I think I read that somewhere...

Re: Anyone have a Heroic18 canvas?
The leather backing never bothered me because I wear leather straps in the summer anyways. Quality leather doesn't bother me. Cheap rubber, silicon or plastic on the other hand I can't wear no matter the time of year.
Re: Anyone have a Heroic18 canvas?
Yeah, the leather backing is a negative. I'm wearing a leather strap today and I sweat straight through them on 100 degree day like today. The canvas just looks so much classier than a NATO.

Re: Anyone have a Heroic18 canvas?
I have had their leather before and it was fairly nice, can't comment on their canvas, but based on their other straps, I'd bet fairly nice, as well
Re: Anyone have a Heroic18 canvas?
Don't take leather-backed canvas into water. The leather and canvas don't shrink at the same rate, and the result is a mess.
Re: Anyone have a Heroic18 canvas?
I've had several of their straps, although not that particular strap. Well made, quality straps at a decent price point. Micah's French canvas is a better strap, but it's almost twice the cost. My favorite all canvas straps are Drew's and Mustang Straps.
Re: Anyone have a Heroic18 canvas?
Maybe I need a Drew when he's taking more orders. I'm thinking dark grey with white stitch, though I really like the green too. Maybe both eventually.

I have a olive one I got free when buying another strap from them. Never tried it out.

I'll check when home from vacation Sunday. May be 24..
Re: Anyone have a Heroic18 canvas?
I'd be willing to consider any 22mm Drew canvas if it fits just shy of 7 inch wrist. Second dib.

I think, though could be wrong that Eric was speaking of a heroic.HapaHapa wrote:I'd be willing to consider any 22mm Drew canvas if it fits just shy of 7 inch wrist. Second dib.
