RubberB/Everest on Seadweller 4000

Post by andrema » Wed Jul 29, 2015 1:27 pm

I'm thinking of picking up a rubber strap for my SDc, and I am sort of stuck between the two higher end makers.

What are your opinions on these two brands? Are they comparable?

Has anyone tried either on the new Seadweller?

Do either offer a strap with a regular buckle? I really hate the models where you bolt on the clasp from the bracelet.

RubberB is my preference. They have both regular buckle or straps that use your existing clasp.

Matt Overstreet (memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=10198) is an AD for them, and he's easy to work with (most of the time :fro:).

No SD. I have RubberB on 114060. Comfortable and looks great.

That does not compute. The curved strap look... not for me, ever.

Option 1) ghey ass strap
Option 2) manly strap

To the death!

Seriously though, I like the straight end straps better - always.

Here are two shots on the wrist from WUS that somebody did with a SubC:

Don't think the SD rubber straps have made it past preorder yet for Everest. So if urgency is a concern. Go rubber B.

I prefer the look of the Everest I think.
Check out rolexdiver on instagram for some good shots on a subc:

I think it would look great on a SD4000

Agreed. If you want a watch with a rubber strap, get a Sako.

Sea Dweller/Submariner strap options:

1. OEM bracelet.

2. $15 NATO.

3. Bulang & Sons style minimalist leather strap (and probably only for vintage).

4. See 1, 2, and 3.

Just IMVHO of course.

I think these look great on the rubber b and everest. I agree with JP it looks stupid when bolting on the OEM clasp, but looks much better with a normal buckle. Shit if you're not gonna wear a rolex on a bracelet, this is certainly better looking than a Nato IMO.....Ed, calm down, i know...

That combo reminds of a special Appaloosa named "Hobo". He was 100 % perfect.......
