A limited edition package of a watch, and tactical size knife and flashlight would be pretty cool.

I'm no expert, but not sure Ti is very good as a blade metal.
Just so happens i bought the coolest led flashlight the other week.
Shines 150M , so they say, but its dam bright, the right small compact size and would fit snugly in a watch box!
Very useful, and would make a great edition in the box.
Foam is cut though, boxes made, so maybe later, but i will take a look for sure.

And for the Ti blade, i need the knife makers input for that, maybe use one for a few months in the water.

Knife arrived yesterday.
Pictures to follow over the coming days.
Being the prototype, it will have changes made to it. Initial impressions are, its a little heavy for its intended use and an inch too long.
Its very thick steel, which is what i asked for. In fact it is exactly as i asked for.
Would make a great hunting knife i think.
Anyway, pictures to follow over the coming days.

Current price on the website, is the exact cost of the knife to me, which includes the knife, shipping and EU tax. So minus 20% to non EU.
I think more than likely though i will keep this version and make some changes to a limited production of 3.

It is actually cost.
The plan is cross marketing and to have nice knives made, not to make money.
While it may sound odd, it will advertise watches to knife forums, so indirectly may make me money later on selling watches/

That's more than reasonable considering I've priced some custom LE knives half that size but double the price. I might have to snag one of those Todd.

Edit: actually a shorter blade would work much better for those of us that hunt. I realize you said this one was a bit larger but if they could keep the thickness and shorten the overall blade length, that would be perfect. :fro:

Yes it is thick and big for the price.
He made a mistake on the quote i think, but was a gent, and we did it at the original price.
I am sure i can keep the same price in the future if i commission another.
He can do anything! shorter blade, longer, thicker, its all good.
This particular knife is in my cupboard, and i may use it as a prop for photo's with the CD-2, then just use it.
Or i may sell it. I cant make up my mind.

Had not given it any thought until right now!
I think i might, but that will be a bit later.

But your better off going direct to the source, he will help on the design etc.
Some good US ones i have seen, but something that may be over looked, and at good prices, are the Australian custom knife makers.

are you planning on doing a few in one set length/width or are you going to do custom orders with the Ægir logo? Personally, I'd like with the traditional skinner blade - much shorter and more curve to the blade. I might have to give Mr. Mitchell a ring. ;)

I am planning on doing 3 more of these ones, with about an inch off the blade, and a quarter inch off the handle.
I am not in a hurry to commission them, as i am back focused on the watch and the move to Australia, as well as the Australian company setup.
In Australia i will use a local knife maker for the dive knives that will be coming.
I found Stuart Mitchell to be an all round good guy, with prices that are very reasonable for such handmade knives.
You should drop him a line or give him a call, i highly recommend him.

Finished in a couple of weeks, having the custom leather sheath done right now.
I plan to develop with the same maker, should he wish, a purpose dive knife, modeled on the one that got me out of some slight trouble back in 08.

This one is the deck knife version,

With the RWL 34, deck work in salt water should be ok, but diving with a knife costing this, i am not sure yet.
We are looking at the dive knife design soon, but i can tell you it will have a serrated edge and a mean one at that.
Saved my ass a couple years back, and i want the design to reflect that.
Steel to be decided, but i might have this knife made in Ti.
Need to talk with the knife maker.
This particular one, is handmade by Stuart Mitchell in the UK.

Not for me, it is a prototype of a planned knife I was going to use in a limited edition set, but now I plan to make it a dive knife rather than a work knife like this one. This one is on the website for sale, cost price actually, as it will not be used.
