Well..there goes that idea. I was thinking of buying that one and having the lugs chamfered since it was so over bead blasted. Oh well :shrug:

Nice pickup Steve, if that case bothers you because of the edges being rounded you can probably contact Todd about it. He has been super helpful when it comes to any questions I have thrown his way.

Yeah, my stupidity. And he only accepted gift payment. He's been on TZ for a while so I've asked for a refund and hope I don't get screwed.

His price was ok. I was figuring $250 for a case refinish and was hoping to snag new dial and case back as well. I was waiting for Todd to reply to figure out what the replacement parts will cost. Keep in mind it is missing the iso as well, so that's another $100 to factor in. These are going for about $400-500 more in mint condition with the isofrane, so his price is only ok. Plus, the exchange rate is really good right now, so if you want a mint one, it might be best to just buy a new one.

Yeah. I got caught up in the bargain but would like to have known about the mod. As I said, Alan was a gent. Are Todd's prices any better now with the exchange rate? Really want a cd1...

Well, maybe a gent in the refund process, but a true gent would disclose the beat ass case in the listing.

The CD1 is a bargain right now. I think they can be had for around $1350 USD shipped with current exchange rates.

Well that sucks, Steve. But a good call to back out and glad you got a refund. I had no idea a new CD-1 from Todd was going for just a little over $1350. I did not need to know that. A white dialed CD-1 would be awfully nice. But I might wait to see what Todd may have in the works next. :think:
