Classy/Tool (handsome) watch imo!!!
It is hard to describe but the Aegir pulls of tool/classy super easy. If you put a dial in this watch that didn't have polished applied markers this could be strictly a tool diver imo. But with the polished applied markers (which reflect light more than the one's on the Seiko MM imo) it dresses it up. Kind of a weird but a good weird on how it pulls that off really well.
For years I have bragged how good the MM wears for its size because of the case design but honestly I have to say the CD2 pulls this off better than the MM (yes this is hard for me to admit ). The flat case back is even wider than the MM version so it keeps the watch from flopping around like a dead fish (aka Lex's new 800m watch).
Another thing that you don't notice on this watch until you see it in person is the date window. It actually looks like a polished metal box (date window surround) was cut and inserted into the dial. Not just glued onto the top of the dial like most watches. So it gives it a 3D effect to it.
The one thing I would change is hex head screw bars but in all honesty I am not a strap whore so it hasn't been an issue for me. But I think it would be an easier setup if you do change out straps frequently.
This is my first watch with a Soprod A10 movement and winds super smooth, to the point it almost feels like it isn't winding at all. Combined with Todd's design of the crown it works perfectly.
Todd totally had a homerun with this watch and combined with his top CS (yes I have plowed him with a ton of questions) he is a great person to deal with. I wish him the best with his company.
Thanks Todd!

You right I am smitten, it has already washed the dogs, took them hiking, pulled a dead rabbit out of one of my dogs mouth (he found it dead) washed clothes and snuggled with my wife and daughter on movie night. Hard to go wrong there.kfalk wrote:Somebody's smitten. and rightfully so. You are one lucky, chuck. Enjoying the heck out of that.

I see, that's nice of him and great that you can check the U1 out. If it (Sinn U1) came through me I would have to do some TLC on the hands...toxicavenger wrote:It's Paul's Sinn, it is just passing thru on getting some TLC done to it.carlodwc wrote:Nice Terry, I did not know you also had a Sinn... I owned a U1 back in either 08' or 09'. It just didn't work for me but it is a cool watch. Funny my daughter told me the hands looked like "lego blocks".carlodwc wrote:I see, that's nice of him and great that you can check the U1 out. But it had a serious issue we just got fixed, so it is on the way back to me right now. So Paul will be torturing it more soon.
