Great looking watch - fine choice.

Killer dude! Aren't those 24mm lugs? If they are that ISO tapers to 22mm. Come over to the dark side, love the Isofrane!

Re: WOW this baby rocks!!!!
The isofrane works so well on that watch. That's the only strap I had it on last summer at the beach. Another decent choice to "dress it up" (used loosely) is that Steinhart rubber with butterfly deployant. If you can get past the branding on one side. That might explain why I switched mine back to the Metta leather. Well, and the Metta just freaking rocks.Torrid wrote:Killer dude! Aren't those 24mm lugs? If they are that ISO tapers to 22mm. Re: WOW this baby rocks!!!!
Todd had it in his safe and since this was a earlier model he regulated it/ re-inspected it and pressure tested it.\AZpops wrote:Was wondering when it was arriving. Congrats Terry! ...
Here are some pics I took this morning next to Paul's U1 (the filthy whore we call it) .
You can see the reason why the Aegir works so well is the majority of the caseback is flat. Also the lugs turn down quite a bit on it. Not enough to rub your wrist but enough to make it fit closer to the wrist.

A big +1 here.unixshrk wrote:Couldn't have gone to a nicer guy :-)
Congrats, T! I didn't know you had a U1 - what else do you have that we don't know about? Watch wise that is, don't need to see the toys.
Edit: Just went through the whole thread and saw the U1 was Paul's. Carry on.

rock it well teranny
Thanks guys again for the well wishes on it. I actually had a hard time sleeping last nite because I kept waking up and checking it out. The only other watch I have done this with is the Seiko MM.
Todd did great job on this watch.

I had one years ago but it didn't fit me well. This one is Paul's that we are getting it a check up because it is sick.kfalk wrote:A big +1 here.unixshrk wrote:Couldn't have gone to a nicer guy :-)

Oh and you are one to talk about having a hidden treasure!!!! You seem to have a ton of jewels in your safe.

Does this mean you have Paul in "the dungeon" ????
I ask because he probably looks like the other kind of seal in the latex suit....

It is pretty comfy, I just have to get use to the 24mm size. I am even thinking about trying a SAS rubber strap on it eventually. The black strap is softer than the blue version I had (who would think anything black would be soft). Maybe a canvas later on.Torrid wrote:Keep that on the ISO. Just leave it on Isofrane. The SAS strap is well loved too, but the Iso matches the character of this watch better than anything else. Besides, if you enjoy it as is you won't bugger up the lugs.toxicavenger wrote:It is pretty comfy, I just have to get use to the 24mm size.
