CD-1 on Nato Straps and Comparison to BP Bathyscape

Post by RALAustin » Fri Dec 12, 2014 6:17 am

I got the CD-1 home last night and played with some different straps, and took some shots next to the BP Bathy. They are almost identical in size at (AEgir vs. BP) 42mm vs. 43mm, 13mm vs. 13.4mm and 88 grams and 88.3 grams case only. The BP has 23mm lugs and the AEgir 24mm lugs. they both have display backs. The BP's dial is definitely a darker more sunburst gray. The AEgir gray is closer to the anthracite gray PAM dial I had in my old 106 sub.

It looks good on the NATO.

Actually it does look really good on the Nato. I have always been leather, but lately I am giving a few other things a go, and right now Canvas from Drew.

Thanks for the comparo and congrats on the CD-1.
It's amazing how much wider the BP looks on the first pic but Not in the others. That Bathy is something else. It's thinner bezel and larger sparse dial makes it seem larger than it is I think.
Todd really nails it with the CD-1, both the grey and white are stunning. Great size and proportions, awesome minimalist bezel, Soprod Mvt.... Lots to like.

Great pics.
Brice, lets get one of each color and swap back and forth.
I can't settle on one color :)

Awesome pics. This comparison would have never dawned on me, but then again I don't own a BP ;)

That does look really good on a nato, maybe Todd can get some Nato's made with his name on the keeper and sell the way with that option? Just a thought.

Looks great on the nato. I'm just waiting for some 1.2mm hex keys to change straps. Luckily every color matches with the white dial.
