I need to jack my prices!
Well not really, that is actually my cost, as I had too many for what I needed, and just want to get them out of stock.
I have had a few enquires about Metta lately, and now I see that Hodinkee post, I know why

Arh, how long of a post can you read?

Mhvj failed to deliver the cal 2005 for 3 years. 2.5 years over the lead time!
With cases, straps, dials etc, all sitting there waiting for this movement, money was tied up that could have made the CD-1.
Thomas Prescher pulled out near the end of 2013, which was a blow, but who can blame him by that point.

So they delivered the movements a little over a month ago, and....... yeah they were nice, but the date function was faulty.
It had a rough feeling to it, and when you set the time, keep winding at it will set the date at 12, then 12.01, then 12.05, then 11.57!

They basically sold me a movement that was not developed, and now we are finished with it all.
I kept 1 though, so one day, should Aegir Watches be successful, then it will be a museum piece.

Issue now is, I am reeling financially from the Mhvj story, quite badly in fact, and where to go now.
This leaves me with 6 CD-2 watches from the original 35 I still have in the safe, and now another 25 cases that will have to be made into standard watches.
Most people find $1900 AUD to much, so it trickles along, but where will the money for the CD-1 come from.

Yeah, I have it, personally I do ok, but it is a stretch to lay down another $30k to make 25 watches, and yep, that's what it will cost to make them with new dial tooling and hands (33mm dials up from 30mm) so bigger appliqués etc.
Recently I purchased a new car, building 2 houses, and bought 2 CNC machines which are in the garage. So my wife says NO! :tap:

And who can blame her.

So I am toying with the idea of deposits on a pre order, not to use them, just to know the watch is sold. I know I can produce it in 6 months, as the suppliers are established.
Say, $200 x 24 (number 25 is for me) non refundable (except with good story) to keep the list real, as I learnt that the hard way with the CD-2.
At least then I could take the job to my wife, and show her that I can return the money in x amount of time.

I am kind of at a turning point really, and not sure which way to go at this time.

That is the short version, the really short version.

What a pain. Forgive my stupidity, but if i was to throw 2000 Aus dollars your way, would you be able to supply me with a working, able to be serviced watch?

The LE has nothing to do with the Soprod A10 watch.
So yes, I have a few A10 watches, which are exactly the same with a different movement. The pictures on my website are all of this watch.
