LE update 23-06-2013

Post by t20569cald » Sun Jun 23, 2013 5:41 pm

For those who are not on the mail list for updates, I will post it here.

''Well I put this off, as I was expecting to be shipping the LE right now, but of course, there is another hurdle.

So now the finish is ok, the movements are made, and,,,,,,,
Mhvj invited an independent movement expert in, to check them over. Apparently he was happy, all looked good, BUT.
He did find a small issue with the date change, and they looked at the problem, and decided to make a new disc with new teeth, and new spring to suit.
6 weeks more they say.

My sense of humor is all but gone, and I am looking at options to recover lost monies from them, but my first priority is to get the watch out.
So 6 weeks longer, and if not, if there is some new delay, I will scrap this watch, as enough is enough.
It was always a loss for me, believe it or not, but worth it in the long run, but now they are just killing me, and no matter what happens, Aegir Watches needs to restructure.

Not 100% sure of what that will be, but plan is to ship out the LE, make 25 CD-1 watches in the beginning, and then decide what to do.
I will still be here, that is for sure, but I plan to consider several options moving forward, and would for now like to take the time to consider which one suits me best.

So sorry, once again, but I have no control of this, and actually, that is the reason to restructure, to take control.''

Good luck Todd. I am sure the watches will be worth the wait.

You could not script this shit.

Hoping you get this out and find better suppliers in the future.
