CD-1 dial next to CD-2 dial

Post by t20569cald » Wed Apr 17, 2013 7:00 pm

So in a watch, 3mm is a mile, and here is some shots side by side of the Cd-1 dial at 33mm and the CD-2 dial at 30mm.
The appliques will be redone to suit the larger size, and I will go further and fatten them up a little like in the BB 50Fathoms. I saw one in the airport recently, and really liked the marker sizes. Nice watch in general of course.

Also I add here some of the rapid prototypes, with poor choice of background color, and the 3D printer is in its early days, so while it prints larger items very well, this type of PLA printer does struggle with watch sized items. (which is what i need it for)
Putting a video of it together now, takes a couple of days

With blued hand options as well, it is first on the list actually. Hand sets will be an option, as with crystal back or solid, as serial number with be on the bottom of a lug.

This year, even if I have to beat a piece of steel with a hammer myself to make it.

Can't wait to see the finished product. Good call on fattening up the indices too.

I work in millimeters myself and from the years working in my field, I can differentiate 0.5mm from 24" away. Great work! I  it!

I keep coming back here looking at that white dial and thinking about it with blued hands. Just sounds right.

Oh Baby... That white is incredible.

And I still fantasize that the last renderings were of a Destro version instead of the camera angle

When can I send my money?

Yep - white with blued hands for me. Can't wait to see pics.

Remind me, what are the specs on this one? 44mm with 24mm lugs?

42mm with 33mm dial so it wears like a 44mm. 24mm lugs
14.5mm high, domed sapphire, Soprod A10.

Make sure it takes any of my custom Panerai straps and I am sold. That is the only thing that kept me from picking up a CD-2.
