CD-1 update

Post by t20569cald » Fri Apr 12, 2013 11:57 pm

It is going slow, but it is going.
Currently working on the dial size to 33mm, up from the current CD-2 dial of 30mm. All new Appliques will now be made, to fatten them a little and lengthen them too.
These renders are just showing the bezel slimmed down, and soon will be dials, hands etc.
We are now (I hope) making headway on the CD-2 LE, and as those are shipped out, the CD-1 will go straight into production.
There will be a change in the lug holes to accommodate thicker straps, hex screws as well as well as a few other things, and yes, I give in, a lumed second hand!

Don't let the WUS crowd ruin your watch.

Very exciting Todd.
I can't even begin to imagine your patience and commitment to this project along with the CD-2 LE after reading your email update today. I'm in awe. Seriously. :salute:
Personally, I don't give a toss about the inclusion/exclusion of lumed second hand (though I know it was a topic of debate in a recent WUS thread. I'm just excited to see the CD-1 come to fruition. And of course, see the CD-2 LEs make into the hands of the lucky few.

Well to be honest, it is going to appear because the SD-1 was always going to have it. As they will share a dial and hand sets, there is little point in tooling for 2 second hands (costs money) so may as well share one, and this will be lumed.
