Might have to give a fixed bezel a whirl. This would be the one.

Re: status of CD-1?
Well, some parts are in the works now, but very little.
Issue is, too much in the first 35 CD-2 watches, tooling and everything that goes with it. Prototyping, and the LE watches too, so no investment coming back yet really.
The issue lies with the LE and lack of movements. They tell me the parts are in production now, and if they deliver in April/May, then May I will start the CD-1 in full swing. It is money at the end of the day, and so much is already down, that I can not keep personally topping it up.
Add to that my career ending accident, that has seen my income drop, my court fight in the UK about it, and so on, then Aegir needs to return something to make something. The CD-2 is selling so/so, but to be honest I have not really marketed the watch a whole lot, as that was dependent on my diving with the Thomas Prescher prototype. So now that will fall to some old friends in a few weeks time. ( if all goes well)
Not the way I had it all planned out, but then nothing really is.
The problem is, the CD-1 needs a bigger dial, smaller bezel, and new hands to suit. In fact, there are 7 dial tools alone that need making. This is really starting from scratch, and the final bill will show that. This is why the LE must sell first, before I over commit.
I looked at investment, and am still looking, but I will lose my shirt at this point in time, so am happy to plod along for now.
If all goes really well, and according to the current plan, then the CD-1 will shipping November 2012. Can not realistically see it earlier I am afraid. And no one more than me wants to see it done, as it is the original vision!

Go Todd go
Re: status of CD-1?
We all agree that it's worth it to wait for the version that pleases its creator. You'll get there Todd! In the meantime, good luck getting those LEs out the door and some ROI inbound.
