Re: CD-2 pictures on rubber.
I dont like watches over 42mm to wear personally, but 44mm seems popular with many others. ( i also have girly man wrists )
I will look into it when everything is going well and maybe try to add a 44mm.
I wont make anything bigger than that though.

No thanks, not bad looking and I am sure it is decent quality, you can buy these at Panatime for $19.99.

Good price.
Keep in mind the buckle is for bin, and a high quality example would be sourced.
I could drop a bombshell right now, but some things are best kept to myself i suppose. PM sent.
There are more samples coming from a Swiss company, currently en-route.

Re: CD-2 pictures on rubber.
Silverback!!! WTF I would be happy if it was silver gray is more like it.
Re: CD-2 pictures on rubber.
The Italian rubber looks OK. Fairly common.
I'd love to see a rubber strap with a deployant like the one on the Marcello C dive strap. It is better than the Sinn large deployant.
Bill Bartlett has one on his dreadnought and it is outstanding.

Good recommendation, here is some pics of the one Bill had back when he owned a Diavolo. One of the best rubber straps I have ever owned IMO.giosdad wrote:The Italian rubber looks OK. Fairly common.

Re: CD-2 pictures on rubber.
Problem is guys, all the deployment type buckles i find are coming out of Asia.
Even some Swiss ones i have looked at.
I personally prefer this type of clasp, as my Panerai one was the business, but easier said than done finding one.
To source one for 50 or 100 watches, specially made is not financially viable for a business that has spent as much as i have to test its place in a flooded market. I have one contact, but first need to see their rubber straps.
He can help i am sure, as he is the one responsible for the JLC rubber over steel.
I need something Swiss, off the shelf, and at this late stage i am certainly not going to through on a clasp from Hong Kong or so.
I am sure there are very nice quality ones, but not for me, i have come to far now to do it.
Its not like i am not looking, but for that particular item, Basel had nothing. Up stairs in hall 3 was only a few companies, and while one had what i wanted, min order was 500 pieces. You could get a new Hummer with those spinning rims all pimped out for that!

Re: CD-2 pictures on rubber.
Todd I think a chunky buckle will look good but in most cases the strap makes the watch. So with a product as hot as this your going to have to find a heavy hitter strap to deliver the full product. But you will also never please all the internet dweebs so don't even try.

Re: CD-2 pictures on rubber.
I actually like the looks of the BC solid strap. I think with a custom buckle it would be nice...it's definitely a good strap. I can imagine the difficulty in finding the perfect strap without breaking the bank. My only issue with 'em is they sure aren't very long. The isofranes are nice for their additional length and added flex.
best of luck in this quest!

CD-2 pictures on rubber.
I think if you can find a strap with Isofrane level quality rubber and buckle you're fine. I wouldn't worry about a deployant clasp at this point. I don't really prefer them to buckle and think a nice buckle is more than sufficient.

Not sure who BC is, but I thought Synchron (aka Doxa) produced the isofrane straps.

Doxa/synchron is definitely making Isofrane (all the trademarks in US and EU list their addresses), but I THINK BC does the manufacturing...
BC is Bonetto Cinturini

I can confirm: If Doxa made the Isofrane, it would suck, the Isofrane does not suck, ipso facto does Doxa does not not make the Isforane.
