Panerai sucks...

Post by matt.wu » Sun Jan 30, 2011 9:54 pm

...because I'm finally hooked on the strap thing. Didn't know it would hit this hard. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I used to always just completely ignore all the strap threads we have. Now, I've read through them all multiple times.

This week alone, I have the following incoming:

1) Black ISOfrane (thanks, James)
2) Two INDY STRAPS (thanks, Dave)
3) Micah French Canvas (wanted to buy directly from Micah, but found a steal from a reputable seller, so I'll have to pick up another strap from Micah)
4) Buckle assortment from Panatime (want to figure out my preferences among pre-V, Spartan, and thumbnail)
5) Some cheap Taikonaut camo strap that looked like a lot of fun from WUS

Additionally, I'm trying to nail down whether I will like 24/24 straps. I know I like 24/22 straps, but not sure if I'm going to have a strong preference between the two.

And before any of you wise guys say it - I sure hope I keep this watch. :bird:

Looks like you got some of the best straps out there  .

What do you think about sewn in buckles? I saw some at the little GTG yesterday and really liked them. I'm going to order a bunch.

That watch is too big for your bones, plus you need to save for diapers. I'll give $3,000 for the whole kit.

Wait it could get worse.

If you start pondering your second Panerai and like models with 26mm lugs. You start thinking should I force myself to buy another 24mm model or do I start the madness all over again.

Here's a GTG table shot for you.

Interested in hearing your thoughts on the Micah when you get a chance.

I am definitely getting one in a couple of months!

However, I will probably get a 22mm to show some attention to the "other" watches.

That is my 24 on a gray Rob Montana on the bottom left of the table shot.

I don't have any pics yet. Hopefully when I return home from this business trip.

Great straps, I plan on commisioning another this week for my Seal.

I asked the same question in the other thread!

There's a loaded table of Panerai and we ask about the G-Shock.
