Post by jimyritz » Mon Nov 22, 2010 4:58 am

Any of you own or have ever owned a Radomir (like the 210)???

Just wonder how they wear...45MM cushion case but look short
lug to lug...

Thoughts...

Thanks
Mike

I tried on a buddy's 183 and it sat just great on the wrist- no wristshots though.

I'm a bigger fan of Luminors. Why would you want to get a PAM without that cool crown guard?

Mike - I have small 6.5" wrists and I was amazed how nicely I pulled off the 45mm. I never cared much for Rads in the past but trying one on...there is truly something amazing about them.

They got the 42mm models now too.

I didn't think the combo of the dressy styling and 45mm size worked too well on my wrists.

After more than a few Luminors, I prefer the rad case for the feel and comfort. Also if you like pvd, it` a lot less expensive to do a 210 or 183 than buy a 292.
Just don`t try and put on one of those 5mm thick ammos that are all the rage on the market on it. Looks silly on a 210 or 183.
Now if you have a 288 its a bit thicker in the case and does look nice on a vintage.

+1....Radomirs just don't do it for me...Love that thick case, sandwich dial, and kick ass crown guard.

Ideally, I would buy a 000, 111, 112 or 176 in a heartbeat but at 53MM lug to lug just
can't pull it off...so that leaves the 40MM (like a 48,49, 244)...size works well but price goes up...Then you have the Subs like a 24 or a 25--big and thick...This leaves the Rads at 45MM (like a 210 or 183)w/short lug to lug...

If I can pull off a 24 then that would be my choice, otherwise
could be looking at a 48 or 244 Luminor GMT...

I don't know if the 24 is different lug to lug that a 111/112/etc, but I don't find them to be especially thick. Have you tried one on?

I'd love a 190. JLC 8 day mvmt, gold hands. Too bad they don't make them anymore.

Wouldn't mind a 232 either, although it's pretty large at 47mm. Again, a discontinued piece.

Ann bought me a 183 for Xmas a couple of years ago, and it's one of my favorite pieces. Wears real nicely on the wrist, sits well below long shirt sleeves, too. (big plus)

TRUE!!

Sports = Lumi's (bases or 24/25)
Dress Sports = Rad's (183)
LuxSports = 1950's (127 or any of the new ones)
