Has anyone bought from Rob Montana? I was looking at the pics on his site, and his work looks superlative.

The custom buckles he can do are also really cool.

That is one nice looking strap. Congrats. What size configuration did you order?

I was able to sit with Rob at a P-day dinner and got to see his straps. They all look well made. He had a dozen or so with him. He is also a down to earth nice guy. He has made strap making his full time employment and puts a lot into his straps. I have been looking into ordering one but have not been able to decide on one.

Rob Montana is the man in my book. I've got one of his straps, a Swiss ammo. Extremely high quality, and I think I like his buckles the best out of all the big name makers.

I was looking at my Breitling, thinking how good it would look on one of the Kain straps.

I didn't think he made 22mm straps, but turns out I was wrong!

Kain sent me the link for his 22mm straps and it looks like I will be strap shopping again.

Here is the link, if you want to come along for the ride.

Rob is definately the Man in my opinion! I've had three of his straps so far, and am working on a 4th

He's also a great guy to communicate with and really makes sure that you're happy with his work.

Here's my latest... the custom UFC leather strap & buckle for my Kobold

I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him

Be careful there Matt. All of his 22mm straps are 120/80, which I find to be a little too short. Your wrist is a little bigger than mine so I would think you would have the same problem. I usually order mine 130/80 or 140/80. Does he do custom lengths?

I'm fortunate to have met Micah, Greg Stevens, and Rob "Montana" Farrington on several occasions. They are all equally good people and enjoyable to be around. They are also well skilled in their craft and I have several of their straps.

I'm hoping to get another Montana strap shortly and will post a pic or two once I get it. I know Barry has the Quarry strap and I have it mounted on the 318. It was a lot more greener at first but faded to a more brownish gray with time. One of the softest leathers in the game.

Here is the Micah Quarry when it was fresh out of the box.

This strap is sooo soft, I liken it to that old bomber jacket that you never get rid of.
I will take a new picture as it is aging with character.

I chose black thread to match the dial and also as Micah said it brought out the gray which is what I wanted for the Ti finish on the Seal.
He might have a suggestion of thread or edge finish (or lack of i.e burnished edge) that will being out other colors in the leather.

Got the Pam back today from Jay at MCWW in great shape.

Put the Kain heritage strap on, took a couple of quick pictures and will
try to take some more tomorrow in daylight.

It looks good on the watch and feels solid on the wrist.
