Friend is looking for a BNIB 000

Post by logan2z » Sat Dec 17, 2016 3:08 pm

A friend of mine asked me to help him track down a BNIB PAM 000. I called a few of the ADs I know and came up empty. If anyone knows of a US AD who still has one please shoot me a PM and I'll pass the info along.

Have you checked with Thanh Do (takuya) and David SW?

Here's one on a forum, but don't know the seller.

Bought my JLC from Thanh. Paid via wire. Solid dude. Great communication for someone as high volume as he is.

Does it have to be AD though?

He prefers buying from an AD but I'll check with Thanh just in case. I haven't personally had good luck with "Trusted Sellers" so didn't encourage him to go that route.

It will will be extremely difficult to find new 000 at AD since model been discontinued last year.
I managed to find one in Delhi in December after checking maybe 20 other locations in Asia, but not sure if your friend has such chance. If not trusted sellers are only option.

This is as good a place as any. There WAS a TRF thread where David SW sold an AP to a guy. The only problem? The watch pictured in the FS wasn't the watch the guy received (different serials). He noticed two years later that his AP had a ruined bezel and raised a stink on TRF. After a huge pile on the OP, David shows up and says he will "take care of it" and now the whole thing is scrubbed from TRF.

I've seen some shady photography from him too - rotating a watch and shooting it so that one lug appears to be another.

I've had a couple of bad experiences with him and wouldn't consider purchasing from him again. YMMV.
