PAM 523 dial question

Post by sierra11b » Thu Aug 27, 2015 4:24 pm

Buddy from Aussie came back home and I worked a deal for him upon arrival for the 523.

It's his first PAM and my first time ever handling a PAM. I must say it's a fantastic watch and I can totally see myself in a 44mm despite having 6.5" wrists.

My question is does anyone know the dial making process for Panerai's white dials? I can't seem to find any information on the white dialed PAMs... Is it enamel, porcelain, or something else? It has that rounded edge near the date wheel so I am wondering... Beautiful dial either way.

It's finished steel with some paint on it, nothing fancy

Bummer considering the price but it's a beautiful dial nonetheless

Congrats--like that 1950 case and 3 day movement...
