PAM 389 on joma sale...

Post by nweash » Mon Jul 20, 2015 2:09 pm

Never seen the 389 this cheap BNIB before. Is this a great price or am I off my rocker?

Would you expand on your comment please?
Was that wrong? Should I not have done that?

Joma doesn't include original warranty card, so Panerai warranty is invalid.

And in house movement means high end independent or overpriced factory service only.

You're basically fucked at service time. $700 entry price.

My old PAM305 cost 615 for the P.9000 service. FWIW

With the savings would it be worth then to pay the $700 entry for panerai to service it when need be?

Assuming it makes it through the warranty period without needing to go in. It's not like the services cost more, you're just not covered for out of the box issues.

And you're also going to suffer on resale without the card.

I'd wing it with Unitas 6497 but not with in-house

Seems worth it to me. Can't find an 8,700 BNIB anywhere. The P.9000 quick hour change is so damn convenient.

PO8500 too while I'm on the topic.

Never had a problem flipping my Panerai without a warranty card as long as B/P are there.

Now if only I could grow Art's wrist to wear it. :/
