Pam 587

Post by Panerai7 » Sun Sep 28, 2014 8:38 am

Just read a limited to a 1000 model 587 is coming out.
Love those hands, something 372/422 should have had.
Wish it had the crown guard and I'd be a 100% on the list.
It is 47mm though...
Thoughts? Love it or hate it?

I like it, but like the 372 better. I know everyone loves MM dials, but I also want "Panerai" on there. I also prefer Luminors, even over these 1940 Rads.

Love it but the writing MM makes it look like an homage...

I love dial and hand combo except for the MM.
I just prefer Panerai with their signature crown guard system and I don't do that much polished SS.
Finally 47mm is silly to me.

Looks good on pics tho. I just wouldn't wear it :)

I like it, but prefer the Radiomirs with wire lugs.

I'm fine with the crown, MM and the case style - but at 47mm?!? not happening

Kinda like 195, except i don't like "black seal" on the dial, it's Luminor Marina case and dial.

I'm kind of surprised there's no "Panerai" on the dial, given that there are Marina Militare Pam knock-offs.

That one is perfect. I can even live with the fauxtina.

after the initial "Whoa" factor wears off, the watch is kinda meh. And now I can't unsee the fact it looks like a fake. Thanks guys.

The only problem is that I think it's sold as a pair as 785.

The fact that there's no Panerai logo on the dial doesn't bother me too much. There are tons of fake Rolexes out there and that doesn't hurt anyone's enjoyment of a real one. If you know it's real then who cares what anyone else thinks?

Yup.
I agree - I was looking at it more from Panerai's perspective. THEY want everyone to know their buyers have on a real Panerai.
