PAMs at the AD today

Post by koda240 » Wed Nov 27, 2013 10:31 pm

While I was at the AD to grab my strap today I decided to try on a couple PAMs. Unfortunately, I was short on time so I couldnt snap any pics.

I tried on my first 47mm PAM. This one was a 422. I am a bit sad to say that It is way too big of a watch for me. I love the styling but the size is just massive IMO.

I also saw the brand new base 8 Day. Not sure if you've seen it but its pretty cool. I prefer the 1950 case but if you like a base it kicks ass.

They did have a 351 (Ti with poop colored dial). This thing was stunning.

My overall takeaway even though they didnt have it. The 233 is basically the perfect PAM in my eyes right now.

I'm feeling the PAM bug biting hard. Of course, after Eric's 312 is gone.

Very cool David, while owning a base I too am in love with the 1950 case and hope to do something about it one of these days if I could just let a few watches go....

233 is still killing it, all these years later.

233 and 372. All the PAMs I really would ever need. One day, I'll make the 233 happen. Two years later, I'm still head over heels for my 372.Image

For me 422 is the bomb and takes 372 to the next level with sapphire and PR on the back.
233 is perfect for a smaller wrist.

Would like to wait and see what else is gonna be converted to the new 8-day movement. 127 with 8-day and with PR on the back would be the one for me

Art, if OP puts an 8-day movement into a 127 or 372, as awesome and true to the DNA that would be, they'll charge you $15K for it.

You're right :) That's why I will most likely happily "settle" with 422 :)
