I spent a while finding my currnet 024C. I wanted a polished bezel, and only A,B,C models had it. I can't find rhyme or reason for their system either.
Now I don't feel so bad anymore.

Dude, right?!?

The basic design language is very compelling to me, so the brand DOES have my interest and attention. That said, there are just an ass-tonne of combos and it gets mind boggling.

I do think that sandwich dial> applied indices> sausage dial. I could do a sandwich dial base model w/o sub seconds, but maybe not a sausage dial model w/o sub seconds. I know that so far I like the 111, the 176, and the subs.
Why not the 112 and 177?
I'd be open to those too.

The 177 is my first Panerai & it's a great watch.

I prefer the matt look to highly polished YMMV

I think the 177 will be my next Panerai.
