40mm Luminor wrist shots?
Anybody with a normal wrist size (7-7.5" or so) and a 40mm Luminor, I'd be interested in any wrist shots. There are a couple of GMTs that I think look nicer than the 88, but they're 40mm.

Hey Henry Pam48 on a 7"ish wrist. I'll try to find pics with a couple different angles?

You didn't ask my opinion, but I like to give it anyway. If you have a 7" or larger wrist you should get a 44mm Panerai.

I have a 6.75in wrist and I've tried on both sizes and I think the full size is better. The design of the watch was meant to be a bit large and the main thing is that the thickness of both sizes is the same, giving the impression that the smaller watch is too thick.
First is 44. Second one is 47mm. Last is my "just right" Anonimo 42mm.

I hear you, but the 40mm GMT is a cleaner look than the 88.

If there was a strap version of the 297, I could go for it. The 88 is almost there, but the silver subdial isn't to my taste.

The bracelet is easily replaced by the strap of your choosing.Henryj wrote:If there was a strap version of the 297, I could go for it. The 88 is almost there, but the silver subdial isn't to my taste.

True enough. This is all fantasy stuff for now. Just got cut from my current job. No worries, starting a new assignment in Kansas. Stability is over rated.

I swear its impossible to gauge size in a pic. They always look so much bigger than real life

I have a 7 & 3/8 inch wrist and the 44mm Luminor case is perfect on it. I could probably even carry off the 47mm, actually ...

I'd say if you are comfortable with a typical Rolex you would be just fine with a 40mm if there's a model you really like.
