New one, big thanks to Dave (R@cerx)

Post by cdnwatchguy » Wed Feb 20, 2013 4:22 pm

This was one complicated DWC finance move. Dave held this one for me for months, I tried at first unsuccessfully to sell one of mine. Made a deal with another DWC dude (won't spoil his incoming post) which resulted in my receiving paypal and money orders from him and others, with a thanks to Matt Wu who took delivery and re sent my Jos A Banks order which I paied him by him deducting funds from some he paid elsewhere but was forwarded to me and blah blah blah wow.

In any event I am now the owner of a PAM 243 which seemingly is a watch almost everyone on the forum has or has had.

Quick and dirty, and I have to blast out for the evening. Love the case shape on this one and it is hefty without being a hockey puck. (That's a big ol chunk o rubber to you southern folk).

Excuse the butt ugly couch but it is very comfy.
cheers,

Keith, absolutely fantastic and obviously worth the compex and surreptitious funding and delivery methods! Congratulations.

A definite "must have" for me now as well - DWC infected...

Nice couch. Cheers.

I'm in finance but have no idea how you payed for the watch.

As long as it's legal, excellent pickup...congrats!

This was quite the deal, the 243 is the best sub Panerai has made to date. I had no idea of finance deals going on in the background. What matters is Keith has his much desired 243. This all worked out great.

I enjoy this whole watch thing vicariously through you, Gordo!

And I found a bottle of the special gin we were chatting about last Saturday night. I'm bringing a bottle of it on Saturday night.

Congratulations, that is a beauty! Look forward to seeing it on some cool straps.
The wheelin' and dealin' we go through to score a watch, only we'd appreciate that. I recently sold a knife, a flashlight and a couple unbuilt model kits to finance an incoming.

My head was spinning from trying to follow the transaction.

Just seeing that amazing watch is what got me back on kilter.

I love my 243, congratulations Keith. Great job by all involved to make it happen, especially Dave. Though I am confused did Keith buy your 243?
Regards
Barry
