Hey, I basically said the same thing about my SD for a long time, and yet off it went. If you want to try something new, I say go for it.dukerules wrote:Yep, and I really did feel that way then (although those who know me know that I have always loved the 233, and nearly spent my 372 kitty on Luke's the summer before the 372 came out). Emotionally, I love the 372-the plexi, font, and the case all add up to almost the perfect modern PAM for me, and I really did strongly prefer the 372 when it came out. I guess I'm still a sucker for that amazing domed sapphire, and maybe the smaller size (especially as I'm blessed with stick-like wrists).JBZ wrote:I have no dog in this hunt, but I must now quote you from above.dukerules wrote:My two favorite modern sub $10K (used) PAMs. But the 233 gets owned in this matchup. Am I nuts for even considering this?

Probably, but I actually blame you, since you (among others) really turned me on to the Sub C. Once I bought it and wore it for awhile, I decided I just preferred it over the SD, and I wanted a little more diversity (which for me means another Rolex - almost new Explorer I this time - should have it tomorrow).dukerules wrote:Now that was crazyJBZ wrote:Hey, I basically said the same thing about my SD for a long time, and yet off it went. I think you should get the 233 Rahul. 372s are easy to re-aquire and you've lusted after the 233 for years.

The problem is there's probably only 2 or 3 guys on the forum who can really pull off 47mm.

Rahul, it's not even a decision - 233!
Re: Am I nuts for even considering this?
233 for me. That is the perfect PAM. I love the 372 and 422 design but i personally find the size obnoxious.

372 for me. While I really like the 233, I found it to wear tall and small; great watch otherwise.

233. Not a contest IMO. But I was never a fan of 372. I gotta have a second hand on my watches.

He's done it to you, what, like 7 times already?toxicavenger wrote:don't ever listen to Rahul, that dude will talk you into a used pair of his underwear.

233 was... and is... THE answer.

Well done, congratulations!

I get it on Thursday .Panerai7 wrote:

If I had the wrist to pull it off, the 422 would be my one and only Pam. I just love the flat sapphire and back side power reserve. Doesn't stop me from trying though...

Can't really lose either way, but I'd favor the 372 too.......
