OK, maybe I am too serious.
But, I have a decent Omega related story that just happened.
Half hour ago, at the Ottomanelli's Deli waiting for my Roast Beef and Swiss, guy behind me had on a Speedmaster, purchased by his dad in 1970 in Singapore, just refurbished in June. He knew little about the watch but recognized it is an iconic piece. Beautiful and highly weathered.
That's it, thats all I've got, hope it repays those whose time I've wasted with my foolish question.
Bailing Out.

Haha cool story. I ran into a guy who needed his Speedy serviced. He bought it when it first came out and said it kept shitty time. So he threw it into a drawer until last week. The only reason why he pulled it out was because a family member told him how much he can get for it. We are servicing it now for him.

I love that movie.
Everyone dressed really well.
They also had really nice business cards.
I rejected 4 business card mock ups until my secretary got it right. This is serious shit.

I understand. You probably don't want to spend all day answering idiotic questions, such as "Is the Planet Ocean's 600m water resistance and the overall case strength compromised by the exhibition caseback as opposed to a solid caseback?"

If sapphire case backs weren’t okay, dive watches would have steel crystals over their dials.
This.

I can't imagine why stockboys would need more than a solid block of gold with some fancy movement inside anyway, especially with all that wall clock and ticker tape gazing they do 600m under the sea. Yes, I've seen Wolf of Wallstreet... When Leo fell into the pool it was easily that deep.

JP, you get riled up pretty easily. What's bothering you bud? If it's just my question about the watch caseback that is inciting your responses, you need to chill.

Are you from a real small town?

Actually, I'm just having fun at your expense because you asked a WUS worthy question and then got your panties in a bunch when you got ribbed for it. That last joke was rather funny and fact that you can't see it, combined with your responses in this thread, suggests that DWC might not be the right place for you. If you manage to display a sense of humor, however, then maybe you will find your place here.

FYI, I am indeed from a "real small town", you might have heard of it: San Francisco.
