Omega's Speedmaster Moonwatch 321 Platinum

Post by AtomicTom » Mon Jul 22, 2019 10:52 am

Has everyone seen Omega's new Speedmaster Moonwatch 321 Platinum?

The watch helps to celebrate the 50th Annversary, and has a 42mm
brushed, and polished platinum case, 50m WR, sapphire crystals,
black ceramic bezel with a tachymeter scale, black onyx dial with
applied white gold hands, and markers, meteorite sub-dials, black
alligator strap, and legendary Omega caliber 321.

Have some pictures right here...

Saw the announcement a few days ago. Love the movement but I really wish they would have done this in steel instead of Pt. No price announced yet but I can only imagine...

Amazing they didn’t do the lumed bezel I’m this one.

You never know Andrew, there may be a stainless version already ready
to go. This might just be the first version they are showing us.
..At least I hope so sir !

Good point too Jacob ! :) Was wondering if they wanted this one to be
a little more classic, and subtle this time around possibly.

I think it looks terrific. I imagine it will be priced at something north of $30,000, and probably closer to $50,000. FWIW, it will most likely still be cheaper than that solid gold Doxa chronograph from this year's Basel.

Of course, Omega could just go crazy and list it at $100k.

Oh man, wasn't even thinking about the price of these to be honest.
But can you imagine?!!

I'd be surprised if it's not priced at whatever Rolex prices the Pootona.

A $55,000 Speedmaster. What's this hobby coming to?

Lol for reals. A platinum day date only is like $8k more on bracelet. The platona is $20k more, also on bracelet.

That’s like me charging Brad Pitt prices.

Sure, Brad has been in more films but I thought you were great in Crouching Tiger and Rush Hour!

I called the Soyuz dial 50th anniversary in precious metal here years ago... not that it matters at $55K.

Anyone else not like the phrase on the back? This isn’t the watch and either is my speedy... this always bothered me with the other exhibition caseback versions. Much prefer the flight qualified version.

Again, not that it matters.

Omega has really screwed over the holders of genuinely desirable LE models. They redid the Soyuz, the white/black panda, and blue/white panda for the latest Olympics. Dickheads.

I want this soooooo bad.

I just don’t have $60k to toss about and if I did I’d be asking to be on the waitlist for a Daytona in platinum or gold.

Absolutely stunning watch. Hope they make a poor mans version in steel.

This thing is insanely cool. Obviously I'm not buying, but wish I could.

Saw the announcement a few days ago. Love the movement but I really wish they would have done this in steel instead of Pt. No price announced yet but I can only imagine...
I was told by an Omega sales exec over the weekend it's his understanding these will be available in steel in about a year. Price around 14k.

That would be great news. Especially if it will not be an LE.

My thoughts exactly. Nuts. You could almost buy 1/2 an AP for that ;)
