White dial probably works to mute the wave pattern more than other colors, which is a good thing in my book.

i love the updates to the 8800 seamasters---on paper---and i will likely own one version or another sooner than later, but there's just something about them that makes me want to hang onto my blue smpc more than before they were released. and i'll likely not move it on before i live with an 8800 for a bit...

I didn't like it in pictures either. On the wrist I actually prefer the new conical shape.
