which omega?
The first photo appears to be the case shape of the new 2018 SMP.
Omega will be making their big announcement about 2019 models soon. It was supposed to be May 7th but I spoke with the Seattle boutique today and they said it’s been pushed back about three weeks.
I’ve heard from two seemingly reliable sources that additional SMP models are to be included in the 2019 releases.
I’m hoping for a modern version of the 2254, using the 2018 SMP case and movement. Since this sword hands style has been largely neglected by Omega since they discontinued the 2254, I expect this is a good possibility.
Omega already has plenty of skeleton hands models and a skeleton hands version was already a “Bond watch”.
The timing of a new Bond movie would be consistent with a new model release, as has been done with prior Bond films.
Let’s hope I’m right.

Looks like a standard 2018 SMP to me
Re: which omega?
Yep, it sure does. Maybe a “Bond” special edition will be the result.james80 wrote:Looks like a standard 2018 SMP to me
I’m still hoping we see a modern 2254.

two-tone, no-date & strap...
Re: which omega?
Its a good question. Omega fans love it. They must be making enough on the current version of the SMP (not to mention the PO). I guess they don't feel the need to cater to what they probably see as a niche market, which is weird given the number of Speedmaster LE's they pump out.JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2019 6:03 amOmega seems to have zero interest in redoing the 2254. I have no idea why.
