Out With The Old...
Back in August, I moved out my SMP-C in trade for the Doxa Searambler.
No regrets about the decision, but I liked that Omega.
No concerns with the bracelet design (cause I'm old) and I liked the non-tool appearance of the watch.
(I'll pass on the dress diver label)
Last Sunday I went to the WatchBuys Road Show and decided I would head over to the Omega Boutique for the "hell of it".
Spent some time with the new Seamaster.
I found it much more to my liking in person than in the pictures I've seen.
The odd shaped peanut butter cup HEV crown was not an issue on the wrist.
The slightly larger diameter and case thickness as well as the additional heft were big improvements for me.
I felt the SMP-C wore a bit small.
And the new ceramic wave dial looked great.
Patrick (Nellipj) suggested I get in touch with Rob at Topper's.
The watch arrived yesterday.
(Rob is great to deal with. )
A few pictures.
I realize at some point I need to remove the plastic, but I rarely buy new watches and will wait to peel away the newness.

Awesome, congrats
Re: Out With The Old...
congrats bud!
the only thing i prefer about the previous version is the more subdued appearance of the numbers and markers in the bezel.
thinking about a wu mod

Looks amazing. Love that wave dial.
Re: Out With The Old...
Very nice. I like the "peanut butter cup" description. The wave dial really makes it for me.

Re: Out With The Old...
I know it sounds "overused", but this watch is much better in person and on the wrist.
It all just comes together.
Looking around the forums, so many others say the same thing; didn't plan on buying and that changed after checking it out in a store.
