Grab 'n Go 2.0

Post by mattcantwin » Thu Oct 11, 2018 12:49 pm

I hit a speed bump adding a wear whenever quartz watch into the mix.

The Aqua Terra I picked up on WUS was really nice but too nice for the intended use of the watch.

Ben saw my FSOT post and got me in touch with Peter.

We worked out a trade, I got his 2264 for the AT.

Looks like this will fit that niche quite nicely.

The wave dials and sward hands make a great combo. If this one doesn't stick, try an Aerospace. The Ti and super quartz make a great Grab and Go.

Looks like this will stick around (and I've said that before).

I was considering one of these (from Brent's sale post).

However, it's twice the price and more than I want to spend.

It filled Peter’s niche so it’ll probably fill yours too. Congrats.

You should try a Sinn UX.

Matt’s a cool dude to deal with.
And thanks to Ben for remembering I wanted this AT quartz even when I still had the Raulmaster.

Knowing Matt, I called dibs before I even gave him the tracking

And knowing Ben, I was supplies to get a message with the listing, and not Tiger Wood dong pic.

The previous version [41mm Aerospace Advantage (E79362)] is what I have and they go from $1k to $1.5k pretty routinely.

Awesome! I've got one myself, also on NATO. Great grab-n-go, and also my favorite travel watch because of the independent hour hand.

I had no idea it had this function, or how to access it.

I asked secretly, but will share the the answer.

Pull the crown out to the first position, and you are turning the hour hand. This is also how you advance the date.

Pulling the crown to the second position hacks the second hand, and allows you to set the minutes.

I like this because when I'm on a flight I can just move the hour hand, forward or back, to be ready for the new time zone, all without losing sync with the real time.

It's really slick, and I wish more movements did it this way.

Now I'm going to out you!
