Seamaster 300 '57 Trilogy

Post by gr8sw » Thu Jun 07, 2018 10:47 am

anyone here have one or handled one?

I just snagged one NIB off eprey (offer/counteroffer) for the best price I've seen, sub-$6k

they look pretty amazing, I'm wetting my pants waiting to get it on the wrist

I don’t have the trilogy version , I have the Co-axial version. I love mine.

hot off the FedEx truck... love this!

overall impressions are great... perfect size for me... clasp is kinda big and blocky (20mm on a 19mm bracelet that tapers to 18mm), but is very secure, helps balance the watch head and sits firmly on the wrist... bracelet is very comfortable, with 2 micro adjustments... happy camper here

unofficial measurements: 39mm x 48 LTL x a svelte 11mm thick, add ~3mm for domed sapphire

Congratulations!

Petre and I both tried one on last December at Feldmar in Los Angeles. I thought it a bit small on my wrist and I wished for 20mm lug width, but it’s a lovely watch.

I have one but found it a bit too heavy for my liking. Will probably but it on the sale block soon..

I didn’t find it heavy at all.

It is a dynamite timekeeper and I should switch to a Nato so I can make an apples vs. apples comparison regarding the weight. I just hate to risk scratching the case when I will likely sell the watch sooner rather than later.
