Aftermarket Seamaster GMT ceramic bezel

Post by ChuckW » Tue Oct 10, 2017 2:52 pm

Someone posted this ceramic bezel insert that he installed on his Seamaster GMT and I was thinking how it might look on my Great White, so I PMed him to ask about it. It's a $14 Parnis item on ebay. I'm reluctant to install a Parnis part on my lovely Great White, but dang, it looks nice.

Negative. Great White is a classic and perfect the way it is IMO.

Lol ftw - looks great!

I like the great white the way it is, though. Besides looking good, it’s one of the most comfortable watches I’ve owned

As interesting as the ceramic bezel looks, I already had apprehensions about changing it. The DWC consensus makes it a definite no.

It's hard to tell, but I think I might like this better. I hate the font on the stock inserts.

Careful if you ever want to sell. Some would consider aftermarket parts on a Rolex or Omega a fake part.

I like how it looks with the all black bezel. I would do it if you like it.

I like it on the black dial but think the great white is perfect as is.

How easy is it to swap inserts?

$14 is cheap fun in this hobby.
