Am I missing something?

Post by poppydog » Thu Jun 01, 2017 12:12 pm

The two new Omegas supporting ETNZ - one is a space / pilot's watch with low water resistance and the other is made from ceramic with (I'm guessing) low / poor impact strength? So getting bashed or repeated immersion will fuck them up??
Regards

Yes to both, but the x33 is just plain stupid in this motif with its 30m wr.

Although if money were no object, I'd wear the PO on memorial day, july 4th, and likely gift it on November 11th to another veteran to pawn, but that's about all. :hand:

Omega did not think it too relevant to increase the water resistance to 200m. It is a Speedmaster, not Seamaster.
SINN, for instance, in their 103 ti TESTAF model (a German pilot stringent test made in 2012) DID include a 200m rating, working temp. range from -45C to +80C. One comment long ago concerning this point, is that the astronaut would rather lose the watch in touchdown in the sea than his life!
