Strap Suggestions for PO?

Post by AntonioPD » Tue May 10, 2016 2:27 pm

Hey Fellas,

I'm currently a "one watch guy" thanks to my PO; I sold off everything else since they weren't getting wrist time.

I'd like to get a NATO or two and/or a leather that would look great on it. Any pics you have of suggestions, and where to best get them, are appreciated. The watch is this one:

Thanks!

Chris probably has you covered, but I really like the OEM rubber strap

Thanks guys. I think Cletus might be right - especially now that I have the adjustable clasp - but I thought it might look good on a Bond NATO ... this one:

I would more than likely do the bracelet or nice nato. Never thought the iso looked good on the 8500's.

I'm not a bracelet guy but the PO bracelet is nice. It does make the watch wear pretty heavy, however.

I know mine is a 2500 so not 100% apples to apples but what the hell, I hope these will at least give you some ideas:

The OEM rubber for the 8500 series is outstanding. Deployant, good looks, comfortable. Also expensive.

Isofrane works great too.

While I wore my 2500 series on NATO I found the 8500 wore thicker & heavier, thus I didn't care for NATO's with it.

Matt - yeah I think the 8500 really needs the lugs filled, which the ISO doesn't do.

Mike - those all look awesome on your watch, but the greyish matte bezel on mine makes straps more challenging. :banghead:

If I had 8500 ID wear it on thicker nylon Zulu (castrated of course) and canvas.

Asks for strap advice.

Gets solid strap advice.

Blows it off and chooses something else.

I let the Bremont go, Rob. It wasn't getting the wrist time it deserved and I found a buyer who really loved it. I think it's highly likely I'll own another one someday; still love the brand. :uj:

That Drew carbon looks awesome Matt! Might be a winner. Do you have any pics that show it on wrist or at different angles? Thanks!
