Stopped by the Omega Boutique
Stopped by the Omega Boutique
My buddyJohn and I had some errands to run today, one of which involved a stop at the Omega Boutique in Seattle.
I was finally able to try on a Speedy and I loved it! Also checked out the SM300 and found it very, very nice. Of not for the goofy 21mm lug width I'd probably be chasing one now.
We made another stop and John picked up something new, but I won't spoil his news.
Here's some pics.

Yep. The Plain Jane steel Speedy 9300 is the sleeper. Zack just gave one away for little.

Asshole, if you wanted to try one you should have just asked. And that faggot John finally made it out eh?

Lol Dave.

Yes to both. Had to pick up my PO from service visit (regulation and pressure test). He was off and came along.Safetystop wrote:Asshole, if you wanted to try one you should have just asked. And that faggot John finally made it out eh?

It's mine, all mine, and I love it. I can't believe how comfy it is considering the size. Very well balanced.marchone wrote:Yep. The Plain Jane steel Speedy 9300 is the sleeper. Zack just gave one away for little.
Classic Speedy is awesome as well. Nice pics Ed.

I am surprised at how much larger the SubC looks next to the Speedy. Both are 42mm, right?
Re: Stopped by the Omega Boutique
I looked twice too. Math doesn't lie. Wide angle lens makes the outside bigger.

Re: Stopped by the Omega Boutique
sub c is the pick of the bunch in that pic
Re: Stopped by the Omega Boutique
Optical illusion. The Sub and SM300 are sitting on their folded bracelets, whereas the Speedy is flat to table on nato. The added depth in the photo makes the Speedy look smaller. In person they are all about the same.rockmastermike wrote:I am surprised at how much larger the SubC looks next to the Speedy. Both are 42mm, right?

That SM rocks - I tried one on the deployant strap and loved it.
Re: Stopped by the Omega Boutique
My 3570.50 had just enough staying power over my old SD4000 which says something. It's just so perfect, has more history than any other watch, and wears incredibly well on any strap.
It got away from me once when I parted with it to fund my wife's DJ. I bought Small's 3570.50 which so happens to be my son's birth year which he'll appreciate someday, so it ain't going anywhere.

He's had the GMT for a while, but picked up blue Pelagos later that day. Yes, he doesn't sell on the forums much so I sold that TSAR for him. He said hi to your as well.Nomadz wrote:The Seamaster looks great. John bought a Rolex ??? I see he sold that Marathon I sold him. Say hi for me.
This was lunch at Spud's Fish & Chips that afternoon;
