Diver 300 chronograph
Does anyone know if the chronograph functions are operable underwater on the current range diver pro chrono'? I seem to remember on the old Omega site it said they are, but on the current one can't find this info'. Cheers in advance.

Thanks Justyn, that's actually the model I'm looking at. It doesn't say anything about that, though, on the Omega website (that I could find, that is).

I'm not sure why they don't list it on the website. It's a feature that not many chronos have. I'm almost positive it's written in the instruction booklet though. I'll have to double check.
It's a great watch. I've had mine for almost 2 weeks and I'm still loving it.

I've just taken a bit of a risk and bought one from a well-known and trusted shop (AD for Breitling, Ball, Chopard to name a few, but not for Omega) at 25% off. It has a stamped warranty card from Italy; can't find the stamped dealer on the Omega website, but trust the business I got it from.

Re: Diver 300 chronograph
Just got a call back from the owner of the business who assured me the warranty is valid and will be honoured and that in the unlikely event of a problem with it to refer it to him. I've met him a couple of times at airshows where they host a Breitling tent / enclosure; they do a lot of military limited editions through Breitling and have an excellent reputation nationally, so feel much more reasurred now, and good CS that he took the time to telephone rather than email. I believe the pushers are rated to 100 feet. I am not sure, however. Regardless, I would lock the pushers down and not use the pushers underwater unless it was absolutely necessary.

You know you're a WIS when after a whole two week you still love your watch. LolErratic101 wrote:I've had mine for almost 2 weeks and I'm still loving it.

These pushers do not lock. What looks like a screw down on them is just more of a guard. It doesn't actually screw.T.R. wrote:I believe the pushers are rated to 100 feet. I am not sure, however. Those aren't screw down? That's odd- too bad they made them look like screw down.

Nope. I totally thought they were too. Are they on the 600?

Re: Diver 300 chronograph
When I first got the watch I tried to screw it for about 10min. Then I opened the book and no mention of it screwing down.
And yes I know exactly how that sounds

None of the Omega chronos have screw down pushers. That's the best part of 'em.

Re: Diver 300 chronograph
Have you used the date change yet? The HE valve, probably because of the date-change mechanism is very different to the three-hander: the chrono' valve opens and then can continue to be turned (without opening further) to avoid mis-aligning the date change stem apparently - checked with Omega whilst trying to order a rubber strap for it - whereas the basic SMPC opens slightly and then stops.
Thanks for the shot of the manual; I did eventually find it

I have used the date change. I like how easy it is. You just keep the helium valve screwed down, then push in the center. That easy!

Yep, the first watch I've had where I can be bothered to actually use and change the date feature.Erratic101 wrote:I have used the date change. I like how easy it is. You just keep the helium valve screwed down, then push in the center. That easy!
