Planet Ocean 42mm 2500 modifications

Post by Joeprez » Fri May 22, 2015 8:49 am

EDIT:

I changed the subject of the thread to make it searching for it easier, this thread will now show the two modifications I've made to my 42mm 2500 PO: Bezel swap and adjustable clasp swap.

So, I've been on the fence with the orange numbers on the planet ocean 2500/8500 dial, but do like the orange bezel. After some online research I found these pictures and I'm tempted on getting a spare bezel from Ofrei. Yay or Nay? I have the black bezel/white numbers PO.

And here's the OEM model (picture from the web):

I dig it. How much does a bezel run these days?

Looks good to me Joe. I have a Casio beater with the same combo (black face, orange bezel) and if that looks good - I would totally rock this

Looks good, I'd try it. Not like you'll get rid of the Omega bezel after all, you can always swap it back when you're ready to sell it.

It is nice to have two options, you can swap between black and orange.

I'd love an orange bezel 2500 PO to go with my 8500. Do it.

Do it. You have other black bezel watches. Are you still getting it serviced? If so you could have it swapped then.

Love it, looks great!
strangely (or maybe not) I like the orange bezel with the white numbers better than with the orange numbers. However, the black bezel with the orange numbers looks good.

Personally I too prefer the dial with the white numbers. Either bezel would look nice as well, great to have a way to quickly change the look of the watch by swapping between the bezels.

I agree with all as the orange bezel looks great. Nice way to change up the look.

Do it! My PO has the Orange Bezel and Orange Numbers but I have a Black Bezel on it. I still have the Orange in case I want to go back.

Cool! Are you getting just the insert, or an entire bezel with insert?

Entire bezel. I also found a guy on TZ-UK that fabricates a tool to take the bezel off the watch. Already bought. That's gonna be interesting.

Can't wait to see it Joe...love to hear how difficult it is to change out the bezel with the tool. I think orange bezel/white numbers looks terrific.

Bezel swaps are fun. I approve. BTW PM the link to the tool. I was gonna get my brother to fabricate me one.
