I wanted to own an Omega, again
I had a pretty solid group, but no Omega in the line-up.
Decided to trade my way into one.
Thanks to Mark for his willingness to work with me.

Outstanding. I'm happy to see the prices on these are coming down quickly.

Congrats Matt! You definitely won this time. I tried one of these on at the boutique and it's absolutely fantastic. Enjoy!

How low? I admittedly hate the traditional speedy, but these look terrific.CGSshorty wrote:Outstanding. I'm happy to see the prices on these are coming down quickly.
Nice pick up Matt.

Re: I wanted to own an Omega, again
I expected I would need to adjust the bracelet, but figured with the screws on the links it would be easy.
Not all that easy, because of the friggin' "micro-screws".
Omega incorporated an interesting design into the links; two screws that tighten into the outside of the bracelet links
and a solid bar held in place between the screws to hold one link to the next.
(the bar itself has no threads)
Nice design, but the screws are so damn small!
I lost track of how many times I dropped a screw or placed it upside down into the hole and then it rolled off.
They really are too small!
I was lucky to not lose one getting all the links back in.

Re: I wanted to own an Omega, again
Yeah, those are really nice.
Re: I wanted to own an Omega, again
Oh yeah, forgot about those. Pain in the arse.
Re: I wanted to own an Omega, again
Cool watch. I think I don't like the way they're doing the screws for the bracelet, though.
Re: I wanted to own an Omega, again
Love that Omega, congratulations!
And nice work on the bracelet, it obviously took some sweat and patience.

Great looking watch Matt! The screws are a pita but once you size it you are good to go with the adjustable clasp. I keep a couple extra screws at home for when I lose one.

The screws look more like specks of dust than screws.

That's a damn sexy watch, Matt. It'd probably suit me better.
