Seamaster 300 added to the Omega website

Post by Joeprez » Tue Oct 21, 2014 7:46 am

Looking good, I'm actually digging the blue SS (edit: I mean Ti) version... even the two tone blue version, but I could not pull that off.

http://www.omegawatches.com/collection/ ... er-coaxial

But honestly, what I really want to know is if the new adjustable clasp will work on my PO bracelet :grin:

Love the steel version. Anybody here know how thick it is?

I love the black SS and blue TI. The other three look horrible and tacky IMHO.

I'd have to go with the blue as I love the color but also like that it's a TI case

Wonder how much the blue will go for with discount ?

I like the steel but I find the bracelet underwhelming. The bracelet from the PO or Speedmaster is a better looking one to me.
cheers,

Keith

Look good. I'd go for the Ti.
Lugs look long though, would have to see it on the wrist

I don't recall exactly. Slightly thinner than the PO 8500, but not thin.

Bummer. I like how Omega doesn't list thicknesses on their website. :rolleyes:

I think the Speedmaster style bracelet is the most attractive offered by Omega. I'd wear this watch on mesh 100% of the time.

Same ole reissue story. Looks nice (because the old one looked nice), but it's not for me.

Less discount? If it's near $4k then not bad.

For $5500 I'd rather add a bit more for a LNIB 114060.

My understanding is that Omega has been cracking down on discounts from AD's. I wouldn't expect anything big - better to wait for them to hit the secondary market.

My bad... its not SS, its Ti for the blue one.

I like the reissue, but watchco still have some SM 300 available, and for less :)

@marchone

Ace are in Amsterdam in the Netherlands and are forum sponsors on the Omega Forum over @WUS and unlike a lot of Omega AD's can and do offer good discounts. I'm pleased to see that these are at least now showing up on websites with prices and believe it is also now up on the Omega website to I'm number one on the waiting list at my local Omega AD for both this and the Rio. The only thing that I really need to see about this watch in the flesh is the lume and just how polished the links are on the bracelet both of which concern me. Originally I was told these were due to arrive in November but last time I was at the AD's about a week ago I was being told they may not arrive until February.

MSRP is $6600 USD for SS and I think $7100 for the Blue Ti.....
============
My guess is that you probably get a 15%-20% discount from any remaining AD's...

I really like it but I am just not sure about any watch with the fake patina... :shrug:

What I really want is a Seamaster 300 w/ an inhouse mov't and upgraded bracelet w/mciro adj.

I agree with you 100% regarding the yellow lume. I think this watch would be much nicer with standard lume and standard applied markers. Is there any historical reason for the sandwich dial on this watch?

What do you guys think about the PCL's? We've gotten mixed reviews but most tend to not like them.

They're not the thing I like least about it.
