That's ridiculous, I hope no one buys them and they'll just rot in a warehouse somewhere
What is Omega thinking anyway? Who do they think they are? Its a budget alternative to Rolex, always will be

All jokes aside, this has to be the highest margin in the history of watchmaking.

I can't believe the new re-imagined vintage watch is only 1mm thinner than the PO 8500.
Re: $170 NATOs
That would look killer on an omega-style Seiko mod.CesarG wrote:I want one.

NATOs for $170? Sweet, I'm sitting on enough to fund a badass watch.

Re: $170 NATOs
There is no justification - Omega is the budget alternative to Rolex. What I'd like to know is, how does Omega compare to Orient?

Not the same.
Re: $170 NATOs
The $12 Nato straps are clearly mass produced at a nameless factory somewhere in the third world. The Omega cloth straps are painstakingly hand stitched by nubile Swiss virgins who gently, yet tenderly and firmly, kiss each one before it leaves the artisan's shop.

LOL, it's probably something like SubC>8500/9300>OS300>Sub (not ceramic)>Omega ETA>OrientJP Chestnut wrote:There is no justification - Omega is the budget alternative to Rolex. What I'd like to know is, how does Omega compare to Orient?

Re: $170 NATOs
Speaking just for me, my comment wasn't directed at Omega specifically. I'd feel the same way about a Nato strap that any company tried to market for that much money.demer03 wrote:Just keep drinking that Rolex koolaide boys....

Re: $170 NATOs
1. The blue dialed SM300 could be the watch that brings me back into the contemporary Omega fold.
2. What's the difference between the c.8400 and c.8500 movements?
3. If that's how much Omega is charging for their OEM NATOs, I blanch at the prospect of ever having to replace the OEM NATO on my Bathyscaphe.
Regards,
Adam

Yeah, but once you add a buckle the price rises by $400...Panerai7 wrote:All jokes aside, this has to be the highest margin in the history of watchmaking.
