I like like like the look of those. Hopefully Omega keeps it reasonably sized. Does anyone have experience with the 3330 movement? Is this related to the old Piguet movement in the Broad Arrows?

Love most of the new Omegas. Hate the pricing.

Instantly my favorite Omega!
Loved this one while I had it and should never have traded it back to Roar.

If you can get 25% off, which shouldn't be too hard, this one would only cost $4687.50 assuming the listed price is correct. That doesn't seem too bad in today's watch market.jeckyll wrote:Love most of the new Omegas. Hate the pricing.

Jacob: for me "only $4687" is still more than what I spend on a single watch

I hear you, but compared to a $9,000 Rolex Sub... doesn't seem too bad! Also, I expect the second hand value on this to go straight to the shitter (as with most Omegas).jeckyll wrote:Jacob: for me "only $4687" is still more than what I spend on a single watch

Yeah - wait for it to be out for 6 months and then pick one up second hand. With the current across the board price increases, even the newer Rolex models don't hold their MSRP (not even close).JP Chestnut wrote:I hear you, but compared to a $9,000 Rolex Sub... doesn't seem too bad! Jacob: Totally agree, I'm unhappy with the overall drive for higher prices
Jeff: I'm curious if the introduction of these will drive up the used prices of the older models. I'm not sure if this happened with Rolex on the Explorer II's since Rolex used prices over all have gone up over the last few years.
Either way, they look great

This is an interesting question. The recently released Bullhead re-issue might suggest a trend. I haven't seen the older version of those rise much.jeckyll wrote: Jeff: I'm curious if the introduction of these will drive up the used prices of the older models. On Rolex, no doubt prices have been trending up, but right now older subs, explorers and GMT's are a bargain compared to what the newer versions cost (still real money, though). Older datejusts probably represent the best value if you can deal with the smaller case. Bullet proof case and in house movement for less than $3,000.JP Chestnut wrote:This is an interesting question. The recently released Bullhead re-issue might suggest a trend. I would have agreed that the Ref 16710 generation of GMT2s were a good value two years ago, but they have shot up dramatically lately (similar to the Ref 16600 SDs). Unpolished and complete examples (the only kind I care about) seem to sell at crazy prices. I know I'd never re-buy my GMT2 for $5,500! I've basically written off every owning a Mark 1/Flat 4 Green Sub.JBZ wrote:On Rolex, no doubt prices have been trending up, but right now older subs, explorers and GMT's are a bargain compared to what the newer versions cost (still real money, though). About the only good values I see in semi-modern Rolex watches would be a 36mm Explorer 1, with the 40mm Explorer 2 a distant second. Even the 14060M has become expensive for a really nice example.

which is why pre-owned pricing goes in the "shitter"...if you expect 25% when new then that kills the resale price...
I'd love to find a "real"AD who is giving 25% off new Omega's...
Re: Omega to re-release the Speedmaster MK2 in 2014
Look very nice but yeah... price is a little steep.
Re: Omega to re-release the Speedmaster MK2 in 2014
I REALLY like that.
Re: Omega to re-release the Speedmaster MK2 in 2014
Can't you get two, maybe three, of the originals for the list price of one of these?
Re: Omega to re-release the Speedmaster MK2 in 2014
Gorgeous piece and I don't think the price is crazy..

Really very nice, if I read the info correctly, that tachy scale is lumed.
If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.

This is so hot. I'm not sure which version I prefer.

I like this a lot, and have been kind of hankering for a Speedy lately. I wish they'd used a manual wind 1861 though, the auto co-axial seems incongruous to me. And the date.
